A theatre sells the season before it sells a ticket

Subscriptions are the business. They set the cash position at the start of the year, they produce next year’s renewals, and they demand seat handling that can keep a long-standing subscriber in the same chair even when the programme changes around them. A ticketing system that treats a subscription as a bundle of single tickets will fail on the first renewal cycle.

Bigger Picture manages subscriptions, seasons, one-off productions and visiting events on one customer record, together with the box office, the bar, the members club and the reporting that management and producers need.

What a venue needs

Seasons and subscriptions

Season building, choose-your-own packages, fixed seat retention, automatic renewal, upgrades, freezes and conversion of a subscription into single tickets.

Accurate seat maps

A true map per auditorium with price zones, accessibility seating, production holds and staged release of inventory.

Group and corporate sales

Works councils, schools, community organisations and companies, with quotes, provisional options, participant lists and payment tracking.

Producer settlement

Sales statements per production with splits, advances and deductions, exported in a form finance can use directly.

Members club and loyalty

Local membership tiers, benefits by status, vouchers and gift cards applied across every channel.

Management reporting

Occupancy by production, genre, day and hour, alongside revenue and subscriber behaviour, with multi-year comparison.

Every channel, one inventory

Website, mobile app, box office, call centre and partner channels share the same seat inventory and the same pricing rules. A ticket sold by the call centre disappears from the website immediately, and a refund taken at the box office is reflected in the channel where the original purchase happened. The platform runs in the cloud, with no servers in the building, role-based permissions and a full audit trail of financial movements.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle subscriptions and seasons properly?

Yes. You can build a season, define fixed and choose-your-own packages, retain a long-standing subscriber in the same seat, run automatic renewals and convert a subscription into single tickets when needed.

How does producer settlement work?

The platform produces a sales statement per production with splits, advances and deductions, and exports it in a form the finance team can use, so settlement does not happen in a separate spreadsheet.

Can we sell to works councils and groups?

Yes, including quotes, provisional options, participant lists and payment tracking, in the same system that sells to the general public.

What does the venue need technically?

An internet connection and point-of-sale hardware. The platform is cloud-native: there is nothing to install or maintain in the building and updates are applied centrally.
